Our February onsite meeting (3-5.02.2026) was held at the IFW Dresden, with ca. 30 participants including doctoral researchers, principal investigators, and invited guests.

The meeting featured rich scientific program: Our 2nd cohort doctoral researchers, Felix Trautner and Paul-Felix André Jordan, showed first exciting results from their work within RTG-PCL and Elena Mack, the 1st cohort doctoral researcher in project-C3, gave an excellent introduction on Femtosecond Transient Absorption Spectroscopy. We had the pleasure to host two guest speakers from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg – Dr. Dorothea Wisser talked about the successful application of solid-state NMR spectroscopy for understanding complex materials, interfaces and reactions, and Dr. Alisson Ceccatto presented his intriguing findings in the field of on-surface synthesis of 1D and 2D MOFs and COFs.
After intense discussions and team work, our 2nd cohort doctoral researchers shaped and presented their idea for a hobby project, which will contribute to our Open Book!

The event provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange and for boosting the collaborations within the RTG 2861 program.
