Planar Carbon Lattices

On July 14, Majid Shaker, our 1st-cohort doctoral researcher in Project RTG2861-A5 (FAU), successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Benzoporphyrins on Cu(111): Adsorption, Self-Metallation, and Dehydration.”
Dr. Shaker says: “As the first graduate of RTG-PCL, I would like to thank my supervisor, Prof. Hans-Peter Steinrück, who treats his students like a kind father. I also thank all the colleagues who helped me during these years in Erlangen and Dresden to conduct my research in the best possible way. And finally, special thanks to my family who always supported and encouraged me to study and work hard.”
